Sherri Stevens, winner of first ever RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur Momentum Award
WOODSTOCK, ON – Sherri Stevens, President of Stevens Resource Group Inc., a regional Human Resources firm was presented with the first ever RBC Momentum Award at the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur Awards (CWEA) ceremony at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
“RBC’s Momentum Award is perfect for us – our business has had momentum for the past decade and it just keeps going and going.” That is Sherri’s reaction to winning the award at the CWEA ceremony sponsored for the first time by RBC Financial Group. The event provides national recognition to Canada’s women entrepreneurs, whose successful businesses play a pivotal role in the growth of our local, national and global communities.
About Stevens Resource Group
In 1990, Stevens opened Nine to Five Personnel Services in Woodstock, ON, a one-person branch company focusing on clerical and administrative staffing. Within the first year of business, increasing requests for industrial requirements shifted the business focus. In order to reflect the company’s future diversification, she changed the name to Stevens Resource Group Inc.
Today the company has grown from a one-person office to ten branches strategically located throughout Southwestern Ontario and employing over 600 temporary and full-time staff.
This year Stevens Resource Group celebrates 15 years in business, an achievement Sherri is most proud of. Stevens Resource Group provides a comprehensive suite of human resource services including temporary and contract staffing, professional search, training and consulting, and employee assessments.
