Local Entrepreneur to Test Her Smarts on Top Rated TV Show - 'Test the Nation'
Woodstock, ON – The average is 100. Madonna, Gena Davis and Jodie Foster each score 140. Sharon Stone is reportedly well up there with 154, as is James Woods with a whopping 180. How does your IQ measure up? Sherri Stevens, owner and operator of local Human Resources firm will soon find out on Test the Nation, the biggest survey ever conducted to see just how smart Canadians are.
Test the nation has been a top-rated show in 24 countries around the world and now it’s coming to Canada. Airing on CBC TV on Sunday March 18 at 8pm, the 2-hour live special Test the Nation, will be Canada’s first fully interactive television show in which the studio and at-home audiences can participate in a real-time IQ test. Viewers can take the test in the comfort of their own home, on the Internet or with pen and paper while selected teams battle it out in Toronto’s CBC studio.
Stevens will sit on the Millionaires team, one of seven teams of 40 people to participate in this show. Other teams include surgeons, fitness instructors, tattoo artists, mayors, radio DJ’s and a team of celebrities. "I am very excited and honoured to be a participant in CBC's Test the Nation. The test will be specially designed by a team whose expertise is intelligence testing. It will feature questions about memory, language, perception and math, which need to be answered within a set amount of time. The test is all about natural intelligence – your ability to reason, recognize and analyze.
Questions will be shown on big screens in the studio and answers will be recorded on hand-held devices attached to processing software. At the end of the evening the results will be collated. Each group’s average IQ will be announced and only the highest individual scores will be revealed.
